IMPORTANT

LASER-SAFE ACRYLIC

Let’s cut your project on the laser-safe, best quality acrylic.

Laser-safe acrylic is a type of acrylic material specifically designed and tested for use in laser cutting and engraving machines. It is also known as laser-cut acrylic or laser-grade acrylic. This type of acrylic is formulated to absorb the laser energy and melt away evenly, creating a clean and precise cut without melting or burning.

Laser-safe acrylic is commonly used for various applications, including signage, displays, lighting fixtures, and art installations. It is available in a variety of colors, thicknesses, and finishes to suit different requirements.

Transparency

Acrylic is a transparent material that allows the laser beam to pass through, making it easier to create precise cuts and engraving.

Consistency

Acrylic is a consistent material that is easy to work with. It melts evenly and smoothly, resulting in clean edges and smooth lines.

Durability

Acrylic is a durable material that can withstand the heat generated by the laser without warping, cracking, or melting.

Customizability

Acrylic is available in various colors and finishes, allowing customization to suit your requirements and the most intricate designs.

TWO TYPES OF ACRYLIC

CELL & CONTINUOUS CASTING

There are two main methods of manufacturing acrylic sheets.

Cell casting involves pouring a liquid monomer between two plates and then polymerizing it through a chemical reaction. The plates are then separated, and the solidified acrylic sheet is removed. The resulting sheet has a smooth surface and excellent optical properties. Cell casting is widely used in producing high-quality acrylic sheets for various applications, including signs, displays, and lighting fixtures-

Continuous casting: This method involves extruding a polymer through a slot die onto a moving belt. The polymer cools as it moves along the belt and is trimmed to the desired size. Continuous casting produces a high volume of acrylic sheets quickly. It is often used for making large quantities of lower-quality sheets for applications such as glazing, skylights, and protective barriers. The sheet’s surface finish and optical properties are lower than with cell casting. Still, continuous casting is more cost-effective for producing large volumes of acrylic sheets.

ACRYLITE GP & ACRYLITE FF

TWO TYPES OF LASER-SAFE ACRYLIC

Acrylite FF

Acrylite FF

Acrylite FF: This type of cell-cast acrylic sheet has excellent optical clarity, UV resistance, and weather resistance. Acrylite FF is often used for applications that require high-quality optical properties, such as lighting fixtures, signs, and architectural elements. It comes in various thicknesses, sizes, and finishes to suit different project requirements.

Acrylite GP

Acrylite GP

Acrylite GP: This is a general-purpose extruded acrylic sheet manufactured using a continuous casting process. It has good optical clarity and is often used in applications such as glazing, picture framing, and point-of-purchase displays. Acrylite GP is available in a range of thicknesses, sizes, and colors to suit different project requirements.
